Erika grew up outside Toronto, Ontario. She is proud to be French-English bilingual and continually works to maintain fluency. She studied Commerce at the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University. There, her focus was on finance and economics; this taught her many valuable strategies to identifying and responding to customer needs. Throughout her time at Queen’s, Erika was actively involved in conferences that enriched her formal education. Erika expanded her negotiation and conflict management readiness by competing in case competitions at the Queen’s Conference on the Entertainment Industry, the Queen’s Conference on Business and Technology, and the Commerce Engineering Environmental Conference. She interned in Information Technology at Rogers Media, which developed her competency in evaluating data to develop a strategic plan to manage expenses. After graduation, Erika performed financial derivatives trading analysis at Scotiabank where her careful time management, communication and attention to detail proved essential to success.
Experiences of travel and living abroad in Singapore and Prague have instilled in her the importance of home; that place to call your own and build a life – and equity! In July 2017, Erika took the leap and relocated to Victoria with her fiancé, posted at Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt. Erika fell in love with British Columbia and enjoys of all of the outdoor activity that BC has to offer; including skiing, hiking and surfing. To fuel her adventure seeking ventures, as a self proclaimed foodie she has become an expert on the Victoria culinary scene. Moreover, the move to Victoria presented her with an opportunity to finally make a career shift into an exciting new industry where she can be a part of making home ownership dreams a reality!
